Hotel Policies


Wheatlands Lodge absolutely welcomes children and reduced terms are offered when sharing a room with two full paying adults.


Unfortunately we are unable to cater for pets, except guide dogs where special arrangements have been made.

Group Bookings:

We welcome group bookings of all types (subject to availability), e.g. private coach parties, school/educational parties, and social and sporting groups. Rates can be negotiated for groups of 30 or more, so please ask about this when making an enquiry.


We accept payment by cash, cheque (with bank card), Switch/Maestro, or Visa/Mastercard. At the time of booking, we may require a small deposit by cheque/cash. Alternatively, we will take your card details to secure the booking - no payment will be taken using the card details, unless you ask us to do so. The remaining balance of your bill can then be paid at the end of your stay, or pay on arrival if you'd prefer.IF BOOKING THROUGH ONE OF THE BIG ONLINE WEBSITES WE DO NOT TAKE PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING EITHER, WHICH IS NOT ALWAYS CLEAR ON THESE SITES.


Whilst we do not have a formal cancellation policy, we do ask that you give us at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel a booking. Should no notice be given, we reserve the right to make a suitable charge to cover our costs.
